Let me tell you, I’m not a big fan of pears. But when my dad whipped out this recipe not too long ago, I was forever changed. The recipe is not only incredibly simple (only five ingredients!) but it also takes no time to make. So next time you happen to have some pears on your hand, cut them up, smother them in cinnamon and butter, and bake!
Ingredients:
-Four pears
-2 tbsp soft, unsalted butter
-1 tsp soft butter (for the cooking sheet)
-1 tsp vanilla extract
-1/2 tsp cinnamon
1. Turn the oven to 350 degrees and butter a cooking sheet.
2. Cut the pears in half, and core the insides. Once the insides are hollowed out, lay them down on a cooking sheet.
3. Melt 4 tbsp of butter over the stove top, then mix the vanilla extract, cinnamon, and melted butter together in a mixing bowl.
4. Brush the butter mixture evenly on both sides of the pears.
5. Bake the pears for 30 minutes on each side or until they are tender.
6. Take the pears out of the oven, and enjoy! I like to make homemade whipped cream to enjoy them with!
