Raise your hand if you’re a compulsive online shopper… (I am currently over here raising and waving my hand.)
So what’s the most annoying thing about online shopping, other than waiting patiently until your new item arrives? If you ask me, it’s the fact that I have to buy clothes just to try them on, because more than half the time when purchasing clothes online, they end up going back to the store. Believe it or not, but when you’re 5’2 it’s pretty hard to gage your size and fit requirements from the tall figure modeling the item. And this is EXACTLY why I’m so excited about this new website, called Try.
Try basically acts as a middle man between a buyer and the website. When you sign up for the site, a Try button gets installed into your browser, and THEN, the trying happens.
Once you have the Try button, any website currently compatible with the service will start showing a “Try for free” button above the “add to bag” service. Believe me, it’s that easy.
As of today, these are the websites currently using the Try button: Asos, Barneys, Fwrd, Neiman Marcus, Massimo Dutti, J. Crew, Revolve, Reformation, Nike, Zara, SSENSE, and Shopbob. They are constantly adding to this list – so if there’s a store not on it you would like, Try encourages you to let them know!
So a few things about Try worth mentioning. When you initially sign up, you can only “try” five items. And once the clothing arrives, you have 10 days to return it in its prepaid packaging before getting charged.
And finally, currently Try is invite only. So if this sounds awesome (and it is), here’s a link to sign up!
